Matthew Hodgson

    Hailing from Newcastle, Matthew is a highly qualified and very experienced web technologies professional. He recently joined SMS after spending more than 15 years working with web technologies in private and public practices. Matthew joined SMS in 2006 and has already played a key role in a number of high profile projects, including: 

    • an information and knowledge management project
    • a Government website / intranet project management
    • a Policy development and process mapping engagement for Government

    Background

    Matthew has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from his home town university (Newcastle University) and a Masters in Knowledge Management from the University of Canberra (which he completed online while living in Paris).

    Having worked with web technologies for the past 15 years, Matthew has spent the last 8 years in Federal Government departments. His most recent full-time role was Senior Web Developer (also known as 'CSS-code monkey') with the National Library, where he developed information/knowledge management frameworks. Prior to the National Library, he was employed by ALORA (OECD) in Paris, where he developed a bilingual CMS for their website. Other experience includes a variety of roles from website manager and records manager, to information systems manager and online project coordinator.
